If the Council cannot provide staff, its literally left down to the residents to clean our streets, as a Labour candidate Jack attended the Council meeting on Thursday, and its a good job both him and local residents planned a street clean over the weekend, as it seems efforts are in vain, for more cleansing officers.
On Thursday evening during Thanet District Council meeting, our Labour party members put forward an amendement for street cleansing officers, meaning we could have dedicated street cleaning staff, unfortunately this was rejected by the Conservative Party, residents are fed up. Residents pay taxes, but should they have to clean our streets.

Huge thank you to all the residents who have come out and taken pride in our #community"
In a separate Facebook post, Jack went on to personally thank, local residents, for all their help. Jack said: "Fabulous turnout and efforts from local residents - huge thank you to everyone"
