MY COMMUNITY VOICE - KENT POLICE

Sign up to My Community Voice - a great online tool where you receive updates from Kent Police as well as you being able to comment and upload your views!

As part of Kent Police's commitment to keeping Kent a safe place to live, work and visit, they have invested in supporting our communities. Their neighborhood policing teams fully appreciate the impact local problems can cause. They want to work with local residents and businesses to make sure they are working together in addressing the issues that matter the most to the public, to improve things, and to make a difference in the communities they serve.

To encourage this conversation, Kent Police have launched My Community Voice (MCV) which gives local people a say in how we approach our neighbourhood policing priorities and work with local partners. MCV is a two-way engagement tool that allows you to tell the Police about issues in our/your area and will allow them to create a personalised policing response.

Many of the issues in our communities can only be tackled by us all working together and MCV is part of our efforts to achieve this. Not everything can be solved by the police, but if the issues that are raised are relevant for other agencies such as local authorities, fire service, health, and social care, they will work with those agencies to make them aware of the concerns.

For more information check out the video, which explains verbally with graphics.

My Community Voice is a messaging service that helps Kent and Medway residents, businesses, and community groups to keep in touch with their local policing teams. The service sends updates about your local area directly from the police officers themselves.

My Community Voice is more than just a messaging service; it allows you to reply to the alerts we send you, share information and tell us about the issues affecting you.

We are committed to engaging with communities to increase trust and confidence and to help protect people from harm. Police, partners and the public working together can build resilient and safe communities, and both reduce and prevent crime.

You will be able to play an active part in police appeals as well as keeping updated in what is happening in your local area.

The updates you can choose to receive include:

  • crime prevention

  • safety advice and information

  • the action we have taken on feedback we have received (you said, we did)

  • news

  • alerts

  • appeals

  • engagement events/community meetings

  • general policing activities

  • recruitment

Registration is quick and free. You are in control as to what you receive and can unsubscribe at any time. Become part of how we shape policing, let’s talk.
