Youth & Community Services
Investing in young people is investing in the future of our community. We are committed to protecting and enhancing vital youth and community services that provide essential support, guidance, and opportunities for young people to thrive.

-
Defending Youth Clubs & Community Centres: We will stand against the closure of key services like Millmead Children's Centre and Pie Factory Music, which are currently under threat due to Tory mismanagement of budgets and chronic underinvestment in youth services. These spaces provide a lifeline for young people, offering safe environments where they can learn, socialise, and receive crucial support.
-
Expanding Opportunities for Young People: Every young person deserves access to positive activities and opportunities. We will push for more funding for youth clubs, sports programmes, and creative arts projects that give young people the chance to develop skills, build confidence, and realise their potential.
-
Early Intervention & Mental Health Support: Youth services play a critical role in preventing mental health crises and supporting young people before they reach breaking point. We will advocate for better access to mental health services and counselling within community hubs and youh workers in schools.
-
Tackling Inequality in Access: No young person should miss out on services due to where they live or their family’s financial situation. We will fight to ensure youth services are accessible, inclusive, and fairly funded across all communities.
We believe every young person deserves the best start in life – not broken promises and cuts to the services they rely on. It's time to put investment in youth services at the heart of our community's future.
